Cain was pictured next to Captain Anderson, who had sworn him in, looking happy with a broad smile. The photos showed the actor being sworn in and proudly showing off his certificate. He admitted to always feeling a connection with the military and first responders, and so joining their ranks was his way of contributing and playing a part.

The actor became part of the "All About Kids" initiative when he joined the police. The initiative addresses challenges like online bullying and predation faced by children and teens, aiming to help them handle these issues effectively.

On November 26, 2023, Cain made a comeback in the entertainment scene when he attended the 91st Hollywood Christmas Parade. The actor wore a black suit and white shirt spruced up with a pink tie. He posed alone and then with actress Anna Azerli before getting into the venue.

Fans who saw Cain's pictures said, "he still looks good." They noted that the actor was "handsome" in his suit. "I didn't recognize him I admit….looks good for 57," a fan acknowledged. Fans said Cain had gained weight, which has left him "unrecognizable," but in a good way.

Cain has been busy as a police officer. He has appeared in magazines such as Time Magazine defending police officers by saying that cops are not inherently violent. Cain seems to have found his calling after he left the Hollywood scene.
